Dr. Elias's practice encompasses the management of all aspects of vein disease. As the Director of the Centers for Vein Disease at Mount Sinai Hospital, NY and Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, NJ, he is able to offer services in an urban and suburban location. Most services are same day outpatient procedures. A few require an overnight stay. (These are mainly for those patients with blood clots that need treatment for leg or life threatening complications).
Otherwise, no matter what procedure is recommended by Dr. Elias they require about 20-30 minutes of time. Most involve local anesthesia only and the majority do not need any incisions, only a few needle sticks. All patients can walk the day of procedure and most return to normal activity including exercise in a few days.
